We think it is very important that women wear natural fibers against their skin. Many oncologists agree with us and recommend cotton bras to their patients, especially post-surgery. The majority of bras on the market today are made with synthetics derived from petroleum, such as polyester and nylon. These fabrics don’t breathe and are bad for the environment. The prevalent use of underwires is also a health risk as the wires limit lymph flow that can be associated with higher breast cancer risk. We recommend natural fiber bras that give shape and support through intelligent design and the use of fabrics with an element of stretch and return, and molded cup inserts that add shape, lift and coverage.
