A medium weight blend of 87% organically grown cotton/13% spandex. Holds it shape, lends support. A perfect fabric for bras, pants and activewear.

The majority of our organic cotton bras, including this one, are made using a soft and substantial 87% organic cotton and 13% spandex fabric. We are often asked why we use spandex. There are several good reasons. First, 100% cotton has no ‘return’. If you stretch it out, it doesn’t bounce back to the original size and shape because cotton isn’t naturally elastic. This is fine for a lot of clothes such as easy fitting tops.

Some of our cottons don’t contain any spandex at all. But for some styles, such as bras and yoga pants, spandex is a blessing. For our cotton bras, spandex really adds to the comfort – having a little stretch allows the bra to mold to your shape without binding or pulling and without stretching out. It is what provides the shape and support in our bras. A bra in all cotton would not provide much support. It would simply stretch out. For pants, the spandex adds comfort, moving with you and limiting unattractive bagging at the knees and bottom.

This simple Cami Bra is basic but performs well. It’s a minimal bra that still offers good support primarily due to the spandex content of the fabric. The cup hugs you gently and stretches to fit. It pulls easily over the head and the stretch in the fabric straps means it will fit most women. Because the cup is a simple triangle without any darts, gathers or seams it’s extra comfortable but best for smaller cup sizes, A – C.

Cool iron if needed.
If your garment has stretched out slightly with wear a warm dryer will reshape.
