THANK YOU SOLAGE!
Blue Canoe is now presenting original artist designs, screen printed with soft inks on several of their most popluar styles, which make the perfect canvas for the exciting custom designs.

The first featured artisit is graphic designer, painter and landscape designer, Barry Hiler. Hiler, a graduate of renowned Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, has been a graphic designer and art director for a variety of products and services for over 25 years. Based in San Francisco and Maiu, Hiler is always searching for different creative outlets which have lead him to other visual arts from painting to landscape design. His Blue Canoe designs include a design for the Lara Top with free flowing curls in a soft discharge print with bright accents express the freedom and uplifting emotion of an active lifestyle.

The Asia Tee, a collaboration with clothing designer Laurie Dunlap, features a pale discharge koi carp undulating beneath layers of abstract waves and a lotus flower.

The Wildflower, a labor of love for Hiler, echoes the style of his large format paintings based on abstract impressions of botanical imagery. It's a wild burst of color and shapes that are more of an expression of emotion than a literal flower, coming from the heart center.
